My quilter friend Lorane has challenged me to find a quilt that we can both make at the same time --one that is a little more challenging than the average. Did I come up with one or not?
This is called Florigia and it's by Cat Nix who works for Anthology Fabrics . I first saw it in Keepsake Quilting's catalog as a kit but the pattern wasn't for sale by itself and I like to choose my own fabrics.
So I Googled Cat Nix's name, found her website, which led me to the free pattern on the Anthology Fabrics website.
It's a bit daunting at 23-pages of instructions and templates, but she asked for a challenge! I'll let you know if it's a go for us.

this is a beautifl quilt although it seems like a very difficult pattern to me. The colors glow!
It is beautiful isn't it. I'll let you know how hard it is after we get started. We're going to ease into it so if it isn't worth the effort we can ease out as well.
