Oogy

I just finished reading Oogy's story. He's a dog who, despite being horribly disfigured and left to die as a puppy when he was used as bait to train fighting dogs, was able to rise above his situation and bring joy to the family who adopted him.  I don't read stories about animals that break my heart -- and Oogy does not die, nor does anything awful happen to him beyond the horrible start he had in life before the book begins.

Instead he is adopted by a wonderful family who brings joy to his life and him to theirs.  His story is about one man's love for his dog and the dog's love for the family despite the cruelty he suffered as a puppy.

You won't be sorry if you read it -- you'll just be inspired.
