Ice dyeing works great for all sorts of thing from fabric for quilting to articles of clothing. Last year I started making ice-dyed leggings to sell at the holiday craft fairs. Now every time I wear mine, I attract a new customer.
One of the best things about ice dyeing is that, because the design is created as the ice melts and the dye drips onto the fabric, each one is totally unique. Different shapes and sizes of ice create different patterns. And often the dyes that are composed of many different colors split out and you get all sorts of colors you didn't expect.
