Pastels from Local Plants

This batch of plants gave soft pastel colors.

Top row, left to right: red croton leaves, red ti leaves. The croton leaves gave a slighty more yellow green and the ti leaves gave a minty green.

Second row, left to right: ukiuki berries (gave a pale lavender color), flower of the red ginger (gave a soft pink or rose).

Third row: coffee leaves (a butterscotch gold color)

These are all silk chiffon or crepe scarves with alum as the mordant.
