2011 Hawaiian Quilt Show In Waimea, Hawaii
SORRY PHOTOS HAVE BEEN REMOVED BECAUSE THE GROUP DOES NOT WANT THEIR QUILTS SHOWN ONLINE
OK, it's been a while since I posted anything but I have lots of things to share now and after some reminders from my friends, I'm finally getting around to it. Today it's pictures from our Hawaiian Quilt show in February. This is an every-other-year event that my quilt guild puts on free of charge to the public. This year we teamed up with the Cherry Blossom festival which always brings out lots of people AND it was a beautiful day in Waimea. So we had a wonderful turnout.
All the quilts are hand appliqued and hand quilted by members of our group. Most live on the Big Island but we have active member from the mainland as well as from Japan who always have someting to include in the show. Our oldest member is in her 90s and still makes at least two bed-size Hawaiian quilts every year.

awesome quilts. I wondered what happened to you haven't heard from you in a long time.
Judi, I've been busy dyeing and selling scarves -- finally have some down time for a little while. I would love to have your energy!
