Stripes
I've been dyeing fabric for Quilt Hawaii and one of the things I've been working on is stripes. One method I use is to loosely pleat a yard of soda-soaked fabric and lay it on a piece of plexiglass. I squirt a variety of dyes on the pleated fabric and leave it alone for a couple of hours, undisturbed, before washing. Here are a couple of the more recent pieces:

those are really pretty, try using a long wallpaper tray or a gutter and fanfold and put your dyes on I think you will like what you get, you can also do something like putting in a couple pieces, add your dye, after an hour take out a piece add another piece then dye and continue until you get all your fabric used up or all your dye used up start with lighter colors and work darker.
Thanks for the ideas Judi. I will give them a try. I love the fact that there is always something new to try with dyeing!
